“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,”
Isaiah 46:9

In our text we find some people That had been taken as prisoners from Jerusalem! They were in a bad place and dark times! What did they do? They started to worship the false gods and idols of their captors!  God told Isaiah to tell them to “remember the things of Old!” What things? Well, these were Jews! God delivered them from the bondage of pharaoh! God head supplied all their needs yet again! God led them for 40 years through the wilderness! God not only opened up the Red Sea and they walked across but also the Jordan River! God gave them a promise and kept His promised of land of their own! And now what did they do? They turned to false idols! God said remember what I did and who I am… I am still the same… “I change NOT!”

He is not just God in the good times when you face no problems! He is God when the world falls apart! He is not the “Santa” God, where you crawl up on HIs knee and tell Him how good you have been and He gives you everything on you list of wants! No! He is God period! He loves you and wants to help you!

Maybe this day the lord will use this devotion to remind you where you were and what HE did! Today, remember how HE delivered you!!! Turn away from the gods of this world and trust the one who made the world!!

Life can be hard but the Lord will never leave you or forsake you! If He’s for you “who can be against you!” Be reminded this day and trust Him!!

You are loved and you have been prayed for!! Trent
