1 John 5:13

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God”

John wrote 5 Books of the New Testament. THE book of John, Revelation and 1,2, and 3rd John. 2 of these books he devoted mostly dealing with the subject of salvation. The Gospel of John he wrote about believing and in 1 John he wrote about knowing!

There are so many people walking around everyday with a question mark on their face. They wonder of they are good enough to be saved? They question with the things of their past, how could God ever save them. Because of this question mark, they don’t witness very much of the lord in the simple task of just sharing what Jesus has done for them. Neither do they work very much.

John writes these letters for us to KNOW and have confidence in knowing! The Word of God promise this hope to us as a believer. You do not have to wonder with rather you can live confidently in knowing what Jesus has done for you and in you! My question today is simple… are you saved and are you sure?
