Pastor Trent's Devotion (5/27/26)

5-27-26

Genesis 3:8-9
8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

Adam and Eve allowed the enemy to sneak in and attack their fellowship with the Lord! They sinned grossly when they partook of the tree that the Lord had clearly said
"do not eat of!" When they failed, they realized they were naked and tried to cover themselves with fig leaves but it didn’t work! God saw their nakedness of sin!
The part that gives me the most hope in this story is what the Lord did! He did not throw them away but continued to love them even though they messed up! The bible says He went looking for them, and “He called unto them!” I am so thankful that even in times that I blow it, I still have a loving Father that tracks me down, called me out of my mess and loves and forgives me!!
