Acts 1:7
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Jesus was preparing to ascend to heaven after His resurrection. It had been just over a month since He died and rose again. Even though HE had appeared to His disciples several times, it was still hard for them to grasp what was going on. As He was preparing to leave when He said something that is really profound in my opinion. He said “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons!” In other words trust me!

We all know that there are many times and many things that come into our lives that brings us to the point of not really understanding the why’s! We can’t see how good can come out of this or if anything good can! We go through hard times and hurtful times without ever seeing or understanding why. I think Jesus’ disciples were right here. They had left all to follow Him! They had experienced  much pain from following Jesus. Family and friends had left them and many asked “why and how could they trust this Jesus?” But it was in this same setting that Jesus said.. “it is not for you to know the times or the seasons!? What? Why won’t He just tell us what He’s doing and when He is planning on coming back? And the reason is simple yet hard… HE wants us to simply trust Him even when we can’t see what He is doing! He wants us to followHim even when we don’t’ know where HE leading!

As you head into this weekend, even though you don’t know what’s ahead know this! He is up ahead! He is with you and He is for you!

9-3-26

“whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”
James 4:14 

One of my favorite sayings that I have discovered to be so true is “you never know what’s around the next corner!” One day Everything is good and the next you’re in a battle of a lifetime! It’s almost impossible to understand and no way to explain! Just last night a lady sat in my church! But today, she’s in heaven!  These hard times come out of nowhere! 

There is no way that you can prepare yourself for these hard times! So what should we do and how can we even deal with these unexpected corners? Our eyes must stay focused on who God is! Life is unpredictable and unexplainable! It’s kinda like when I’m on a airplane. I will hear a noise or feel a bump…. I don’t have a clue what’s going on! But when I entered the aircraft, I chose to trust the pilot! I believe that even though I may not know what’s going on, he does! And he can navigate through the noise and bumps! Keep your faith in and your eyes on Jesus and He will see you through it all!!

Today stay focused, stay faithful and stay following! Trust then one who got you this far and HE will see you through… again!

Genesis 50:20


20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Many times in this life we question why we go through what we go through! There are even many times, if we are completely honest, that we wonder “if God is so good, why did this have to happen!” All of these why’s are definitely understood! But when we dig deeper and see farther down the road, maybe, just maybe, we begin to see things a little differently. 

Joseph was simply obeying his father by taking some things down to see his brothers when he came under attack. Over the years the brothers began to be jealous of Joseph. HE had wild tales and even told them about his dreams! They were done with Joseph and his crazy dreams! They set out to kill him but instead, they sold him as a slave and told his father that a wild beast killed him!. 

Joseph tried to process all that was happening to him but it was HARD! He was sold out by his brothers, the ones that suppose to love you no matter what! He was lied on by a woman. Things went from bad to worse!  Joseph eventually found himself  in a prison somewhere in Egypt! But then lord was with him every step of the HARD journey!!

The story in this verse climaxes as Joseph confronts his brothers as they came to Egypt looking for corn to eat! He looks at them and says “what you meant as evil… God used it for good!” Even though he went through some hard things and even harder times, Joseph recognized what was happening was something bigger than he could have ever thought and through it all, God was good!

Maybe today you are facing hard times and hard things! Trust the lord through the hurt and pain and not only will He be with you but one day you may be able to look back and see something good that will come out of something bad!!

9-1-26

Exodus 12:14

14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

In this text, the Children of Israel had been in bondage in Egypt! They cried unto the Lord and He heard them and responded. His response was to send a lamb to be sacrificed and its blood applied to each of the door post of their homes so that when the death angel would come around, the death angel would “passover” or skip that house covered with blood! This passover set up for what we call Easter, when the Lamb of God  (Jesus ) came to be our sacrifice to set us free from sin!

The Lord told the Children of Israel to “remember this day!” They were to always keep it and remember what the Lord had done for them! We too should stop and remember what the Lord has done for us! How He delivered us and how He is for us! This day, let’s testify of God's goodness and remember how He delivered us from the wicked places of our past and how He put us in HIs promises never to forsake us!

Ephesians 4:1

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 

As you begin this week, just remember that we are called to “walk worthy” of our calling! That also could translate as our salvation! To walk is in simple matters a “manner of life!” This means whatever I do this week, where ever I go, I am going or doing it as it the Lord is right beside me every step of the way. This is the least I can do.. to let my life represent who He is in it! It is my “way of Life", It is my "walk!"

Many people will see and hear from you this week! Make sure they are seeing and they are hearing Jesus out of your life! Walk worthy and walk following after the one who saved you!!

1 Corinthians 2:9

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”


I have had the pleasure to see a lot of the world! I have seen the beauty and the blessings of it! During my travels, I often think, “there is no way it can get more beautiful or more grand than this!” Then, the next trip comes and I find myself saying the same thing. 
Stop this day as we prepare to head into the weekend, and think about all the great things you have seen! All the amazing things you have been a witness to. For example… the first Space shuttle going into space and returning , just to do it again!  The recent trip around the moon… and the story could go on! But did you know.. no matter what you have witnessed or seen, NOTHING compares to what the Lord has prepared for us! Can you stop and just imagine all the great beauties that the Lord has made, yet they can’t even compare to what’s coming for “them” that love Him!!!

This day, just stop and thank the Lord for the blessings of this past week and the blessing of this great weekend headed your way. HE is worthy of our praise and we should praise Him continually just thinking about what’s coming!!

“For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”

As we continue through another week of many things that we face that come out of nowhere, just remember This!  What HE started on Monday, He saw you through Tuesday! What He did Tuesday, He followed you to Wednesday… I think you got it! The one who started a work in you will see it though! He is not going to stop working or slow up! He is not resting He is working in you and for you even if you don’t see Him or feel Him, He is working!! He will keep that which you committed to Him….. give it all to Him… even THIS day
And He will see you though!!

“Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:is so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.even”
Matthew 24:32-33 

With everything that is happening in the world right now, it is more
Important than ever that we stop playing games and start
trusting what the Bible says! No we do not know the time or the day but there are
certain things that point to Jesus coming as He says He will! The leaves are tender for sure! Watch and see! Pay attention and read your Word! Jesus is coming!!!

Are you ready? Are you sure? Have confidence in knowing that Eve in His Word will Come true!

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57 

As you begin another week, it would be great to stop and remember where your victory comes from! It is not anything that you have done! Your victory comes from Jesus and Jesus only!
If anything good comes this week, it will be because of Jesus! Don’t allow the enemy or situations of the week to distract you or discourage you from seeing that your victory is only in Jesus! Press on and stay strong! The Lord is with you this week! Keep your eyes on the victory that he gives and He will bring more
Victories into your life!

“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”
Psalm 91:4

When I read this text, I am taken back  to my childhood growing up on a farm. The old hen would lay her eggs and then sit of them eggs until they hatched! Then those little chicks would run all around  until
danger presented itself! What would those chicks do? Run to mama and she would cover
them! The only way to get them Is get her! 
That’s what the lord does for us! He works in our lives through the Holy Spirit. He works to help us and then when the enemy presents himself for an attack, He covers us and He protects us! The only way to us is through Him! That’s how much he loves us! Know this day… you are covered in Christ Jesus! The only way the enemy can get you is through Him!!

It is hard To figure life out most of the time! Why things happen the way it happens! The only way is to simply trust God by faith! Yoiucan’t see how it works out so you simply must trust Him!

Today no matter what you face trust the Lord and not what you see in front of you!! Trust the lord not what you hear! Trust the lord and nothing else, He will see you through whatever you face! Trusting God is easy when the trusting part is not hard! But when life gets hard, that’s when trusting becomes more difficult, but this is when His presence and peace becomes clear! Trust God by faith this day!

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
Proverbs 18:10 

I have always heard, there is something special in a name! My dad told me “your name
Is all you truly ever have, don’t waste it!” The older I get the more
I have found this to be true! But have you ever stopped and thought about the name Jesus? Demons flee  just at His name!  When we run to Him, He is our strong tower! We  find security and hope in and under this tower! Today, run to the tower of strength, of hope and of help… Run to Jesus with whatever you are facing this day and find Him there for you this day!  Say the nameJesus out loud Right now….. 

He is your strong tower to rest in and on!

8-17-26

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 

When the Apostle Paul was battling all of hell, Jesus reminded him that it was His grace and strength that would see him through the most difficult days! If you stop and think about it, that would do all of us a lot of good! Why? Because if we are honest, we too battle hell everyday! And what helps is to get through this attack? His grace and His strength… just like Paul! So this day, be encouraged, the Lord is with you just like He was with Paul!

2 Corinthians 7:1

“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Paul urges believers to cleanse themselves from everything that defiles body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. This is not about earning salvation. It is about living in alignment with what salvation has already made you. You were not made to tend a grave. You were not made to live in spiritual clutter and compromise. You were made to house the living God and to reflect His character to a world that desperately needs to see something real. A clean temple is not a perfect temple. It is a surrendered one, a life that keeps coming back to God and saying, search me, know me, have all of me.

 Psalm 141:2;

2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice

In the Old Testament Temple, the altar of incense burned continuously, day and night. The rising smoke was a picture of prayer and praise ascending to God. Even in the middle of the stench of burning sacrifices, the sweet aroma of worship covered the air. This is a picture of the Christian life. We will face seasons that are difficult, painful, and even ugly. But praise does not wait for perfect circumstances. Praise declares that God is worthy regardless of what surrounds us. When you choose to praise God in the middle of a mess, the enemy loses his grip and God's power is released. Today, whatever you are facing, praise God! You are hurting Praise God for the power of comfort! You have questions? Praise God for wisdom to understand when you cant understand! Praise God this day!

Let’s praise  the Lord for His goodness and mercies in our lives! Praise Him for the blessings that we enjoy and protection that He gives!

John 4:21-24

 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.


Jesus told the woman at the well that a time was coming when true worshipers would not need a mountain or a building. They would worship in spirit and in truth. That time has come. The physical temple in Jerusalem was destroyed roughly 37 years after the crucifixion of Christ. God was not caught off guard. He had already made a new dwelling place in the hearts of every person who receives His Son. You are not just a churchgoer. You are a carrier of the presence of God. Wherever you go, His Spirit goes with you. Live accordingly.

Matthew 21:12-13
"And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves"

Before Jesus went to the cross, He went to the temple. His first act was not a sermon, but a disruption. He overturned tables, drove out corruption, and restored the temple to its intended purpose. What looked like chaos in that moment was actually an act of deep love.
God does the same in our lives. When something is disrupted, when circumstances are overturned and the comfortable is removed, it is often God clearing space for His presence. Disruption is not punishment; it is preparation.
The disruption you may be feeling this week is meant to help you and give you hope. He cannot fill what is already cluttered with things that do not belong to Him.
Clean YOUR temple and watch God work in it!

1 Corinthians 3:16-17
"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are."

The same God who once filled a physical temple in Jerusalem now chooses to dwell in the hearts of His people. This is not a small thing. The temple was the most sacred space in all of Israel, set apart exclusively for the presence of God. Yet God, in His grace, has made you that sacred space.
The question worth sitting with today is not whether God is able to dwell in you, but whether you are living as though He does.
Ask Him to search your heart and reveal anything that does not belong in His house. The temple is and was a holy place! Make sure your life represents the holiness that comes from His presence this week!

Proverbs 2:6

“6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”

As you navigate the events of this past week and think about what is down the road, it is important to KNOW that the Lord is the ONE that gives knowledge and wisdom to those events and things! We may not always understand the things we face or even have a clue as to why we are going through those things, but we must trust in Him to lead and guide and to direct the steps that are to come. Remember, it’s your understanding but rather His wisdom and knowledge!

2 Peter 3:9
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

I heard one of my children say one time, "But Daddy, you promised!" I can't remember what it was about, but I remember hearing them remind me that I had made them a promise. Because I had promised, I made sure it was going to happen!
Did you know that the Lord is not slack concerning His promises? No! When He makes a promise, it is forever. He promised that nothing could ever separate you from His love—and it can't! He promised that He will never leave you nor forsake you—and He won't! His promises are true, and you can count on every one of them.
He has also promised you a place in heaven if you trust His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as your Savior. Have you? If so, you are heaven-bound! If not, you can be by trusting Jesus to save you and then trusting Him to walk with you every day. He will never fail you.

Revelations 4:11
"11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

No matter what you face today, nothing has surprised God! I heard someone say one time, "Has it ever occurred to you that nothing has ever occurred to God? He already knows!" Today, stop and give God praise. If it's good, praise Him! If it's bad, trust Him. Remember that He is worthy of all our praise, and He must receive the honor and glory in it all—both the good and the bad. So go ahead... right now... praise Him today!

Psalms 89:1

"I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations."

I remember one day when I was a teenager, I thought that it would be a good idea to be cool and as I was cleaning my car up for a date, I had my music playing super loud…. You know, like we all did as some point. I did not know that my dad had worked 3rd shift and was in the bed sleeping! It woke him up and let's just say, he wasn’t a fan of of my cool thinking that day. He said… "that music is so loud the whole world can hear it!”

Well, I must admit that was not one of my better decisions in life! However, we sing, shout and proclaim the MERCIES of the Lord so loud that the whole world can hear. The world is looking for something, we should be willing to share His mercies with them like someone did for us!! Make His faithfulness known today!
